Getting Past Cranes of Gears of War 2
Are you stuck at the cranes on Gears of War 2? I was trying to figure out how to make a bridge first, but that’s not the answer. Just swing the crane over to the far left so Dom can get on. Move him over toward the other crane on the right. But give him a chance to shoot all of the bad guys before dropping him off there or you may be ferrying him across the chasm several times until he gets lucky enough to survies the 2 or 3 waves of Locust soldiers.
I’ve heard of bugs in getting Dom on and off although I haven’t experienced this myself. Never having this happened to me I would suggest:
- If Dom won’t get on: Gears 2 does have some “sticky spots” that stop the characters from moving for no apparent reason, and you can get around them by backing up or turning. Apply this to Dom and a) make sure the wood is all the way down where he can get on, and if you are sure it is, don’t just sit there and wait. Pick up and put it down again.
- If Dom won’t get off, or just walks away and doesn’t bring you over: Try to keep Dom up so he can kill all of the Locust soldiers. If he just won’t get off try putting him down in different spots.
