Gmail Location, Latitude and Stickers
Gmail recently announced two location-centric features on the Gmail blog, Add Your Location to Your Signature and See Where Your Friends are with Google Latitude. You can sign up with Google Latitude using your Gmail account.
The first (Add Your Location to your signature) is a lab feature you can activate that will automatically read the IP address of the computer you connect to Gmail with and add location info to your signature. See where your friends are using Google Latitude let’s you show your friends where you are on a dynamic Google map. The controls for your location are fairly granular and you have some choices as to who to share with – or not. There’s also a gadget that lets you add it into your personal iGoogle page. Check out Google Latitude.

I got an email today about Google retiring the old Adsense interface, which they’ve been developing for a while now. But, to be fair, maybe the old interface isn’t better, maybe I am just resisting the change. At first, the new interface was unwelcome, because I’d just gotten used to using the old one. Then, I

Of course, their post doesn’t make such a broad claim, they focus on some of their services and also said: Cloud computing is secure, simple, keeps you productive and saves

The Gmail Blog yesterday posted a tip on using stars in Gmail. I’ve been using the free version of Active Inbox (AIB) to manage my email for probably over a year now. However, as Gmail makes routine changes that break the Active Inbox interface, and since AIB hasn’t rolled out changes addressing some features that

I just read New in Labs: Preview Pane and I’m really glad to see you can now preview emails in Gmail. It can be difficult to get a feel for which emails to read and which to pass up for later. For most business users and many regular Gmail users, time savings and convenient features

Gmail will be rolling out options to change your inbox without diving into Mail Settings. In an interesting twist on Priority Inbox, and Multiple Inboxes, Google will be allowing you to easily switch between different Inbox views [when this new feature is rolled out]. They also rolled out Google Calendar sporting a new skin, and just tonight Gmail announced a preview of their new look as well.
