Gmail Multiple Inboxes Allow Multiple Searches

On Feb 20th Gmail posted Tip: Manage several email accounts with Multiple Inboxes which talks about managing multiple email addresses with the Multiple Inbox feature. I found today this cool new Multiple Inbox feature also allows multiple searches in each pane. So instead of just having an inboxes for my Adsense, Blogging, and starred; I can have inboxes for my unread Adsense, unread Blogging, unread starred and unread Inbox emails.
So for those I used the following settings:
Pane 0 label:Adsense is:unread
Pane 1 label:BLOGGING is:unread
Pane 2 label:inbox is:unread
Pane 3 is:starred is:unread
Hooray for Gmail again – they make like easier. I’ve stuck with Gmail because of its awesome features, and portability between computers. I love the fact that when I get a new computer I don’t have to install my preferred email program and import all of its settings and emails.

I got an email today about Google retiring the old Adsense interface, which they’ve been developing for a while now. But, to be fair, maybe the old interface isn’t better, maybe I am just resisting the change. At first, the new interface was unwelcome, because I’d just gotten used to using the old one. Then, I

That Google +1 button is sprouting everywhere, and now the +1 button is slated to appear in Adsense ads. Below is an example from the Adsense Insider blog. Now your “social friends” can see what ads you like … I don’t know if that’s good or not, but its good for Google whose ads will

Gmail is cooler in the cloud. Literally. Google’s point is that cloud-based services (which are ever more popular) use less energy than their traditional counterparts. Of course, their post doesn’t make such a broad claim, they focus on some of their services and also said: Cloud computing is secure, simple, keeps you productive and saves

The Gmail Blog yesterday posted a tip on using stars in Gmail. I’ve been using the free version of Active Inbox (AIB) to manage my email for probably over a year now. However, as Gmail makes routine changes that break the Active Inbox interface, and since AIB hasn’t rolled out changes addressing some features that

I just read New in Labs: Preview Pane and I’m really glad to see you can now preview emails in Gmail. It can be difficult to get a feel for which emails to read and which to pass up for later. For most business users and many regular Gmail users, time savings and convenient features

Gmail will be rolling out options to change your inbox without diving into Mail Settings. In an interesting twist on Priority Inbox, and Multiple Inboxes, Google will be allowing you to easily switch between different Inbox views [when this new feature is rolled out]. If you like one you just keep it, and after a

The Google search changed its look recently with a smoother-looking interface. They also rolled out Google Calendar sporting a new skin, and just tonight Gmail announced a preview of their new look as well. Just tonight writing this post, I also noticed that Google Docs has had a makeover. These new looks are popping up
