Gmail’s New POP3 Option
When you choose to use Gmail for your POP3 email client instead of using a POP3 email client (like Thunderbird, Outlook etc… some) email programs show both your Gmail address and your POP3 email’s address.
I do this at work because I prefer Gmail for its superior spam protection, and because when I want to access my email I don’t have to be at my home or office, and I don’t need to worry about transferring emails, settings and such every timwe I get a new computer. So at myemail@gmail.com I get email from mywork@myjob.com, and until now some email programs would show my emails as:
From myemail@gmail.com on behalf of mywork@myjob.com
Not so cool, but now I don’t have to face that.
Read the Gmail blog post that explains how to do this…

I got an email today about Google retiring the old Adsense interface, which they’ve been developing for a while now. But, to be fair, maybe the old interface isn’t better, maybe I am just resisting the change. At first, the new interface was unwelcome, because I’d just gotten used to using the old one. Then, I

That Google +1 button is sprouting everywhere, and now the +1 button is slated to appear in Adsense ads. Below is an example from the Adsense Insider blog. Now your “social friends” can see what ads you like … I don’t know if that’s good or not, but its good for Google whose ads will

Google has released its Gmail and Gmail mobile in Persian today. Gmail is cooler in the cloud. Literally. Google’s point is that cloud-based services (which are ever more popular) use less energy than their traditional counterparts. Of course, their post doesn’t make such a broad claim, they focus on some of their services and also said: Cloud computing is secure, simple, keeps you productive and saves

The Gmail Blog yesterday posted a tip on using stars in Gmail. I’ve been using the free version of Active Inbox (AIB) to manage my email for probably over a year now. However, as Gmail makes routine changes that break the Active Inbox interface, and since AIB hasn’t rolled out changes addressing some features that

I just read New in Labs: Preview Pane and I’m really glad to see you can now preview emails in Gmail. It can be difficult to get a feel for which emails to read and which to pass up for later. For most business users and many regular Gmail users, time savings and convenient features

Gmail will be rolling out options to change your inbox without diving into Mail Settings. In an interesting twist on Priority Inbox, and Multiple Inboxes, Google will be allowing you to easily switch between different Inbox views [when this new feature is rolled out]. If you like one you just keep it, and after a

The Google search changed its look recently with a smoother-looking interface. They also rolled out Google Calendar sporting a new skin, and just tonight Gmail announced a preview of their new look as well.
