SPOILER WARNING: CRYSIS 2: WALKTHROUGH for ROAD RAGE (Part 1)
After the Ceph attacked and sunk the submarine, Alcatraz made his way out and up to the surface of the Hudson. Trying to catch his breath he and his team were trying to and assess losses, only to be attacked by the same Ceph ship that sunk the sub. The Ceph ship fired on him and his buddies and he heard screams and yelling as they were fired upon. Alcatraz was hit and his team mates seemed to be dying all around him. Slowly he was losing consciousness when he heard heavy gunfire on the Ceph ship. Ceph gun fire cracked through the air in response ripping into the nearby pavement. Moments later a suited figure approaches and and drags him off to safety …

Mission 4: Road Rage Walkthrough: Part 1

You start out in the tunnel at the top of the stairs from where you left off in the previous mission. The immediate area in front if you is of no major concern. To get into the action, get upstairs and look for the closed gate with an infected person behind it and an arrow painted on the wall.

Now move froward and kick the fence open to proceed. You’ll end up jumping up into a hallway with a window at the other end. You’ll hear that familiar CELL radio chatter. Move to the window cloaked and you’ll see a cut scene next. After the helicopter flies away take a look around with the visor. You’ll see that the hallway continues around the corner to your left. Open your visor and check your tactical options, tag soldiers, or wait until the scanner IDs them while you scan around.

TIP: Sometimes weapons and other pickups can be found behind you where you wouldn’t normally be looking. Check areas like behind you when ascending stairs for “hidden” rooms.


At one point one of the CELL soldiers will probably come up the stairs, if you are ready you can shoot him with a silence weapon, or if you are sure no one is looking you can stealth kill, then move back inside to recharge. Go back out and from the top of the stairs, do some more scanning to see if you’ve found all of the CELL soldiers, you probably haven’t. You can move down the stairs to ground level and turn 180 degrees and walk toward the street, then off to the left there’s a nice place to hide and recharge – if no CELL are upstairs behind you. Moving back toward the building, then back upstairs, you can take out a CELL or two from the top of the stairs stealthily if no one sees him. Moving back down the stairs after a recharge there is an area off to the right in the grass where you can stop and recharge on your way to the street near ThePharmacy store. Move through the broken brick wall down to the street level and you land on a raised area you can hide behind, and then straight ahead and to your right at the end of the street is another hiding spot. Keep in mind which places would make good fall back hiding spots. As the patrols move around, if a small group of soldiers gets near the building you emerged from, you can take some of them out. Be careful not to be seen, firing from cover so that when your cloak drops as you begin firing, you are in cover, hidden from view.

If you have a JAW, take a Tactical Option: Ledge Grab and get up onto the platform, then from there up to the road above. If there’s a CELL soldier still patrolling there, take him out stealthily. It will take a couple of well-timed recharges along the way but you can move toward the end of the roadway to the southeast toward the overpass. As you get near the end, a chopper will notice you are start firing. Cloak and move to the other side of the street and equip and aim the JAW. Fire and hold the laser pointer on the helicopter until the missile hits and takes the helicopter down.

If there are any CELL left in the area besides the gunner on the Humvee near the end of the raised road you were just on, take them out so that the gunner can’t see you. When they are taken care of head toward the raised area you did the ledge grab up to earlier and make your way to the other end near the Humvee. Making sure you are recharged, head into the subway entrance marked by Tactical Option: Stealth. Coming out the other side you can make your way behind the gunner and take him out with your silenced weapon. If you’ve traded your silenced weapon, you might be able to safely take him out without a silencer if you’ve gotten rid of the other soldiers in the area.

The objective marker is now about 94m to the SW. Make your way toward the objective marker walking up the broken highway. When you reach it the highway will shake and the police car will come come rolling straight back. Walk to the top of the next section of the highway and when you get closer 2 more Humvees will arrive. Take out the soldiers that get out of them, soon they begin patrolling toward you. Move back toward the police car. Move down the broken part of the road where you can’t be seen and get behind the police car. As one of the soldiers peeks above the horizon where you can see him, shoot him with your silenced weapon. Do this twice, and there should be 2 more patrolling on foot and 2 gunners on the Humvees. Take out the CELL soldiers where the gunners can’t see. The recharge and move to the side of one of the Humvees. Take the silencer off for more power, and take out the gunner farther away first and then while still firing take out the driver nearer you. If you are a good shot you can pull it off. If you aren’t sure take out the nearer gunner first, then get into the Humvee and (use B) to switch to the gunner’s seat and take out the other gunner.

As you go over the next piece of the broken highway, open the visor and look for CELL. If you don’t see any, move forward a little bit and look again. When you are still near the beginning of the road section, you should be able to see 1 or 2 CELL soldiers in the distance. Mark them and zig-zag in closer recharging from cover as you go and looking for new CELL soldiers. As you approach the overpass you can hide behind the columns, recharge, then move out to either side to locate most of the others that are closer to you. Look for triangles on the visor to locate hidden CELL behind cover and see if you can’t get them marked without getting too close. Now make a move to the far right and hide, recharge then move forward. Keep hiding and recharging until you get to the side of the CELL soldier standing closest to you, but stay about 5m-8m away so he can’t see your cloak. Make sure your silencer is off, and see if you can’t take out the 3 or 4 soldiers near the overpass. Then you’ll have more CELL firing at you, including some shots from a raised position. Move behind the columns again and recharge then move out and open the visor now that you have an idea where they are. Find the rest of them, but stay cloaked and move off to the right side again, this time hiding behind the containers in the grass to recharge. Then come out cloaked and take out the soldier closer to the end of the road, where the bridge crosses above you. After you’ve taken them out, retreat back to the containers, locate the 2 CELL on the bridge with your visor while cloaked, then drop the cloak and take them out.

Move to the end of the road on the right side and jump up on the container, you are about 250m from the objective. Move forward through down the road, things get bumpy here as the road shakes and dust falls, obscuring your vision some. continue moving down the road. As you get toward the other side emerging out from under the overpass, someone yells earthquake over the CELL comms and the Hold Y prompt pops up. Hold Y and watch the highway fall apart right in front of you. It lands on the ground below throwing up a lot of dust now mostly obscuring the area in front of you. You can do a visor search and see if you get lucky before you descend.
