Dec 7th
Are you looking for Gears of War 3 Multiplayer Tips for Xbox Live online gaming? Here are some Gears of War 3 tips aimed at helping you live longer and in team matches to be more useful to your team. This post is not GOW3 tips for newbie players, or advanced Gears 3 tips – its somewhere in the intermediate skill range after you’ve mastered the basics of n00b GOW3 tips , and are comfortable with your Xbox controller, etc.
ITS A GAME, HAVE FUN.
Have fun and relax! If you are relaxed, generally speaking you’ll perform better. If you are frustrated and making Gears your life, then you are more likely to get yourself killed.- ONE PLAYER MATTERS.
Even you are not that great, you can still tip the balance in a firefight. Just get in there and be annoying if that’s your level of experience. Shoot at the same stuff your teammates are shooting at. - PROTECT THE SNIPER (OR BOOMER ETC)
Got a player on your team with a power weapon? Protect him. Hang around and spot and shoot opponents attracted to the fire of the major weapon your teammate is using. - TEAM PLAYER – THE MOB BEATS ONE MAN.
Be a team player – you’ll live longer. Being with other players increases your survivability and effectiveness. More >
Gears of War 3 Basic Newbie Tips for Multiplayer (Online)
Dec 2nd
Here are some gaming tips for Gears of War 3 online (multiplayer). Keep in mind this is a post for GOW3 online newbies by a GOW 3 online n00b (only 4 days online so far).
DON’T TAKE IT PERSONAL.
People with headsets may insult you, etc. They either do it to throw you off of your (already bad) game or they have no manners. In any case, don’t be distracted – forgive and forget and play and blow thewm away. Seriously, if you’re a n00b reading this you know your game’s already bad, right? So someone giving voice to it (even via extreme insult) is no news – just move on.- BE A MEDIC.
Especially in team matches where more deaths on your team mean you are closer to losing the round. Get up close to a team mate that has been downed (marked on your HUD) and press X when you are prompted after you are close enough. - SPOT THE ENEMY.
Aim at an enemy and click left thumbstick, you’ll highlight the enemy and your character will call it out so your teammates know. Plus, it makes that enemy visible everywhere because you’ll see the mark through walls! More >

Mission 4: Road Rage Walkthrough (Pt. 2)
Aug 15th
SPOILER WARNING: CRYSIS 2: WALKTHROUGH for ROAD RAGE (Part 1)
After the Ceph attacked and sunk the submarine, Alcatraz made his way out and up to the surface of the Hudson. Trying to catch his breath he and his team were trying to and assess losses, only to be attacked by the same Ceph ship that sunk the sub. The Ceph ship fired on him and his buddies and he heard screams and yelling as they were fired upon. Alcatraz was hit and his team mates seemed to be dying all around him. Slowly he was losing consciousness when he heard heavy gunfire on the Ceph ship. Ceph gun fire cracked through the air in response ripping into the nearby pavement. Moments later a suited figure approaches and and drags him off to safety …
Mission 4: Road Rage Walkthrough: Part 1
Time to move safely down to the now fallen road below. Move to the right side of the road and look down for some debris sticking out and walk down onto it. Walk forward until you are prompted to switch to nanovision. Then open your visor again and tag some more CELL. When you are satisfied move forward and stay left, not giving your position away. Drop down to the road below when you get near a raised area to your left. Its a garden walkway path beside the road, and now with all of the dust thrown up in the air it becomes a threat to nanosuited super soldiers. Move up the stairs toward the garden walkway and without being seen (stop when you have to) move to an area off to the left that’s fenced in. There is a place to stand and hide and there’s an ammo crate. You can take about 4-6 CELL operative soldiers out from nearby this area if you are careful. Watch out for an M12 Nova with silencer here. It will be useful.

Mission 4: Road Rage Walkthrough: Part 1
You start out in the tunnel at the top of the stairs from where you left off in the previous mission. The immediate area in front if you is of no major concern. To get into the action, get upstairs and look for the closed gate with an infected person behind it and an arrow painted on the wall.
Now move froward and kick the fence open to proceed. You’ll end up jumping up into a hallway with a window at the other end. You’ll hear that familiar CELL radio chatter. Move to the window cloaked and you’ll see a cut scene next. After the helicopter flies away take a look around with the visor. You’ll see that the hallway continues around the corner to your left. Open your visor and check your tactical options, tag soldiers, or wait until the scanner IDs them while you scan around.
Crysis 2 Game Tips
Aug 15th
This page is a collection of Crysis 2 in-game “load screen” tips, personal shooter-based gaming experience, and first-hand Crysis 2 gameplay. These tips are meant for Campaign gameplay and may be useless or detrimental when used against human opponents.
TACTICS
- As you move ahead, watch for fall back hiding spots where you can retreat and recover health or recharge the Nanosuit’s energy
- Reload often, especially during “down time” in between firefights, or when recharging in safety
- Maintain situational awareness – always know what threats are nearby, and what’s going on around you. Threats can be your opponents, high drop-offs, and your own explosives – think and stay alive
- Reload before running out of ammo for quicker reloads
- Its always faster to switch to your sidearm (or other weapon) than to reload your current weapon
- Scan the battlefield before entering, and tag important things (Tactical Options, ammo crates and desired weapons), and even undesirable items if they are on “landmarks” you want to remember
- Sit behind cover where only one opponent can see you when you fire on the enemy beofre they know about your presence
WEAPONS
- The DSG-1 can score more than 1 kill per shot
- Weapons with mounted silencers lose power over distance. Choose closer targets, or aim carefully for head shots
- The JAW missile can be manually guided using the weapon sights
- Fire in controlled bursts to improve accuracy
- Lay a timed minefield with the L-TAG (press LEFT on D-PAD to switch fire modes). Mines explode when an enemy wanders too close, or about 10-15 seconds pass
- You can carry 2 weapons at a time, along with
- IGN has a great weapons attachment graphic showing what attachments are available for what weapons (IGN Crysis 2 Guide, pg
NANOSUIT
- Collect Nano Catalyst from dead aliens (the “sparkly clouds”) to purchase upgrades to your Nanosuit
- Be a nimble Nanosuit user … change you suit’s settings to fit particular combat situation
- If you are cloaked and found out, when you are getting shot up, switch to maximum armor (armor mode). Enough hits will deplete energy and drop your cloak anyway
- Your Nanosuit’s tactical visor can detect Cell and Ceph through walls, ground and other obstacles out to a certain distance. Use cover to scan and tag from safety!
- Firing most weapons expends enough energy to drop your cloak, be prepared
- Silencers on weapons use less energy when fired (useful when cloaked)
- You can fire a silenced M12 Nova almost indefinitely without losing your cloak

By now you have probably cleared away about 1/2 of the CELL soldiers patrolling the area. In particular be on the lookout for soldiers in the garage lower level – as you first approach the crash site the lower level of the garage would be on the west side of the crater, that is behind you if you walked straight ahead.
Take out stray soldiers who wander off alone where no one is watching, and keep in mind your fall back hiding areas in case they are needed. If you need ammo you can switch back to visor mode and look around. Although some ammo is in the lower level of the parking garage, you’ll have to sneak in and reload or take out the CELL operatives there, and their backup if you are noisy about it or get spotted. Now you can re-surface from the drain, get behind the column behind the 50 cal gunner on the Humvee and take him out with your silenced Stealth Scarab. Recharge in cover then move back into the storm drain. The gunner is a higher profile kill more likely to be noticed by the other CELL soldiers since he’s up on top of the Humvee. If he’s discovered, stay in the storm drain until your stealth meter returns to normal, or at least close to it.
