So the topic is prestiging in COD Modern Warfare 3, which was to me – a newcomer of multiplayer Call of Duty – somewhat of a mystery. My main question was “When am I going to reach level 2 Prestige, and earn my next prestige token?”

WHAT IS PRESTIGING?

First, let’s define MW3 Prestiging. After level 80 you are given the option to prestige, which gets rid of all of your earned levels, weapons etc, except titles and emblems. If you opt to prestige, you go back to level 0, and have to earn all of your weapons and proficiencies and attachments all over again.

HOW DO I REACH THE NEXT PRESTIGE LEVEL?

You do what you’ve already done, you prestige again, that is, you reach level 80 again. Its that simple. The difference is that you get a new prestige level each time. I’m on my first level of prestige as of this writing, and when I reach level 80 again I’ll be level 2 Prestige and get another prestige token, go back to level 0, and lose all of my weapons.

FAD assault rifle

The FAD is the last assault rifle to be unlocked in multiplayer, and has the fastest firing rate (rounds per minute) of any assault rifle and is even faster than any of the submachine guns – except the PM-9 and PP90M1.

The FAD excels on the battlefield as an assault rifle pumping out  bullets with SMG-like speed and the accuracy and range of an assault rifle. The FAD’s 40 round magazine is also the largest capacity of any assault rifle, which means more firing and less reloading.

CM901 assault rifle

The CM901 has the heaviest recoil profile of all assault rifles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It also has one of the longest ranges of any fully automatic assault rifle (based on min. damage range) and is tied with the AK-47 for highest damage of the fully automatic assault rifles. Compared to the AK-47, the CM901 trades higher range for lower rounds per minute. The CM901 also has slightly better ease of use (reload times and raise/lower times) when compared to the AK-47.

What Are Killstreaks in MW3 Multiplayer?

As the word insinuates, it is about a streak of kills. Depending upon the type of Strike Package you select in your custom loadout killstreaks stack up differently. For the offensive-oriented Assault Strike packages your kills are added up until you die, at which point your killstreak number is reset to 0. For the more defensive Support Strike packages your kills are not reset to zero until the end of the match. If you make 12 kills during a match/round then your killstreak is 12 and does not matter if you die 0, 2, 6, 12 or any number of times. The Specialist Strike package killstreak does not reset as you are rewarded at 2 kills, 4 kills, 6 kills and 8 kills, regardless of how many times you die.

NOTE: You can only choose Assault, OR Support OR Specialist strike packages – not all of them.
